After driving the Alpha AT variant, I found the transmission to be decent for those who are not worried about speed.
BHPian kesh4munni recently shared this with other enthusiasts.
Test drove the Jimny Alpha AT version at the Nexa outlet at RR Nagar, Bangalore.
Coming from a completely different car, the Tiago JTP, below are my observations:
Pros:
- Stable ride quality upto 80km/hr. Floats over potholes.
- Quiet cabin with minimal NVH. Gets a tad loud post 80 km/hr
- Good field of view in the front
- Decent AT for people who are not worried about speed
- Decent headroom and legroom (I’m 5’11)
Cons:
- Rear visibility is poor with the Stepney
- Build up of speed is in a linear manner. Is a dampener for people used to turbocharged engines.
- Average music system. The rear speaker was already jarring.
I’m planning to go ahead with the booking I made in March.
