Epic Games has announced that it will be adding a flare gun weapon to Fortnite Chapter 2: Season 3. Here's a quick rundown of the weapon stats.
Fortnite, like any live-service game, is constantly evolving with new features, weapons, challenges, and more. With the launch of Chapter 2: Season 3 Epic has decided to add in a couple of new mythic weapons, along with a new flare gun. In this guide, we are going to go over everything you need to know about the Fortnite flare gun weapon.
Fortnite Flare Gun – Location, Stats, and More
Last year, fans speculated that a flare gun would be coming to Fortnite after it was spotted in a promotional trailer. Almost exactly a year later, Epic has finally decided to add a flare gun to Fortnite as part of the Chapter 2: Season 3 update. The new flare gun weapon comes with six shots upon being picked up and will deal 60 damage to players. Further, it has a reload time of 1.5 seconds and is a Blue (rare) rarity. Additionally, as with most rare items, the flare gun is located in pretty much any lootable area, including chests, care packages, and floor loot.
To be honest, I’m not really sure that the Fortnite flare gun serves much of a purpose aside from being a cool weapon. I suppose if you’re in a pinch you could do a lot of damage by hitting a player at close range with a fiery shot, but you’ll most likely want to stick to a shotgun. It’s also worth noting that at the time of writing the flare gun has not been added into the game, but it’s been confirmed through leaks, so it’s only a matter of time and will likely be added in with a future update.

Chapter 2: Season 3 launched on June 17 with a watery theme, which shouldn’t come as a surprise if you watched the Doomsday event to end Season 2. The new season has introduced a couple of new locations to the island, as well as a cool new feature that allows you to ride sharks. Players can also explore around the map to try and find some of the new mythic weapons as they work towards the Season 3 Battle Pass rewards. Further, similar to the Deadpool skin last season, there is a limited-time Aquaman skin that players can unlock by completing challenges.
