It is the second model in the Xpeng Mona mass-market lineup. The first car under the Xpeng Mona series is the M03 liftback launched in August 2024. This vehicle turned into a hot seller, generating over 10,000 firm orders 52 minutes after its sales had started. According to China EV DataTracker, Xpeng delivered 272,077 units of this vehicle to owners in China from August 2024 to May 2026. This high was achieved partly due to the Mona M03’s price range of 119,800 – 151,800 yuan (17,680 – 22,410 USD). Xpeng Mona M03 fastback crossover In April 2026, the second model for the Mona series was exposed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) in China during the domestic homologation process. It is the L03 fastback crossover. In late June 2026, Xpeng officially confirmed the upcoming premiere of this vehicle, sharing its first official images. The Mona L03 will debut in July. The car’s launch is scheduled for this year. The mentioned Mona M03 liftback was confirmed as the global model that will also sell in foreign markets. So, there is a feasible chance the L03 fastback SUV will also turn into an international model to accelerate the brand’s sales outside China. The Xpeng Mona M03 crossover The Xpeng Mona L03 is a compact SUV with dimensions of 4650/1920/1600 mm. The wheelbase reaches 2,850 mm. The car utilizes the design language of the Mona M03 liftback with T-shaped headlights and a sloped bonnet line. However, the new model offers practical semi-hidden door handles and a single taillight strip. Other highlights include an active front air intake and vivid brake calipers. It rides on R18 or R20 wheels, depending on the trim level. The Xpeng Mona M03’s curb weight is 1,855 – 1,875 kg. The BEV variant of the car adopts a single electric motor for 183 kW (245 hp). It is paired with two LFP battery options for 56 and 69 kWh. The M03’s range lies between 505 and 650 km under CLTC conditions. The EREV variant of the car adopts the same e-motor, adding a 1.5-liter engine for 70 kW (94 hp). This variant can run up to 257 km in electric mode.
