It is available with BEV and EREV powertrain options. The GX boasts rear-wheel steering, active suspension, and peak power of 577 hp. The Xpeng GX is the brand’s first three-row SUV aimed to compete with the Lynk & Co 900, the IM LS9, the Voyah Taishan X8, and other new energy vehicles. It previously made headlines for its resemblance to a Range Rover after its presales had begun in China. However, the launch ceremony revealed that the GX has other noteworthy highlights. The Xpeng GX The Xpeng GX measures 5265/1999/1800 mm and has a wheelbase of 3,115 mm. Despite a high bonnet line, this large family driver boasts a drag coefficient of 0.255 Cd. Despite the upcoming domestic regulations, the GX adopts retractable door handles that align with the overall minimalistic styling. The car rides on 21 or 22-inch wheels. The interior of the Xpeng GX offers six seats with a 2+2+2 layout. The car’s trunk has a capacity of 673 liters as standard. Its capacity reaches 1,748 liters with the third-row seats folded. The second-row captain chairs boast zero-gravity modes, power legrests, ventilation, heating, and 16-point massage functions. The Xpeng GX adopts 33 speakers, a built-in refrigerator, and a ceiling-mounted 21.4-inch screen. Interior of the Xpeng GX The center console of the Xpeng GX adopts a 17.3-inch touchscreen, an 8.8-inch LCD instrument panel, and an 88-inch augmented reality head-up display. The interior offers three shades: brown, white, and purple. The center tunnel adopts two wireless charging pads. There is also a fragrance system and ambient lighting. The Xpeng GX’s assisted driving system is another highlight. It is available in four variants with different AI Touring chips layout variants: Max (750 TOPS), Ultra SE (1,500 TOPS), Ultra (2,250 TOPS), and L4 Robo (3,000 TOPS). The latter variant will become available in H2 2026 as the L4-ready self-driving model. Powertrain, chassis, and prices The Xpeng GX offers the Bosch steer-by-wire and brake-by-wire technologies. Other highlights are dual-chamber air suspension and rear-wheel steering with a steering angle of 7.5 degrees (up to 10 degrees in self-parking mode). As a result, this 5.2-meter SUV has a turning radius of 5.4 meters. Xpeng GX’s chassis The Xpeng GX EREV has a 1.5-liter engine under the hood that acts as a generator, sending power to the battery and electric motors. This modification has two e-motors with a combined peak power output of 370 kW (496 hp). With a fully charged 63.3 kWh battery, the Xpeng GX can run up to 430 km of electric range under CLTC conditions. Thanks to a 60-liter fuel tank, the GX can drive up to 1,585 km in mixed mode. The Xpeng GX EREV can run up to 1,585 km in mixed mode The entry-level Xpeng GX EV has a single e-motor in the rear axle, producing 270 kW (362 hp). It is paired with a 91.9 kWh battery for 665 km of CLTC range. The 4WD version of this SUV offers a peak power of up to 430 kW (577 hp). A 110 kWh pack sends power to e-motors, good for 750 km of range. According to China EV DataTracker, Xpeng handed over 76,130 cars from January to April 2026, domestically, down 35.34% Year-Over-Year. This drop is partly caused by the gradual phasing out of the governmental subsidies towards the NEV sector in China. Xpeng’s global sales (including exports) reached 93,693 units from January to April 2026.
