This model reportedly offers the widest second-row space in the class. On August 3, Xpeng revealed official images of the G9L five-seat BEV crossover. On August 4, the automaker shared more images of the car’s cabin. Its second-row right passenger seat boasts a power leg rest and a zero-gravity mode with the widest reclining space. It integrates two cup holders, a wireless phone charging pad, physical controls, and a large rotatable folding table. Xpeng officials highlighted that the G9L adopts the same built-in refrigerator as the previously launched Xpeng GX. It is a voice-controlled fridge for 12.5 liters. Another second-row feature is a large screen. The Xpeng G9L adopts a large panoramic roof. The car’s dashboard has a floating touchscreen and a thin instrument cluster, complemented by an augmented reality head-up display. Its gear shifter sits behind the two-spoke double-D-shaped steering wheel. There are wireless phone chargers, two cup holders, and a hidden compartment in the center tunnel. Interior of the Xpeng G9L The new Xpeng-branded SUV adopts cool ambient lighting and star-patterned leather on the seats. Xpeng also revealed a new interior color option, which is “Sahara Orange.” It seems that the car’s rear windows offer electrically powered shades. The doors of the G9L could be opened by pressing a button. Moreover, they can be opened by pulling a latch hidden in the door card’s storage compartment. The Xpeng G9L crossover The dimensions of the Xpeng G9L are 5120/1999/1795 mm with a wheelbase of 3,100 mm. The Xpeng G9L has a dual-motor AWD with a 160 kW (215 hp) electric motor in the front axle and a 270 kW (362 hp) e-motor in the rear. The combined peak power reaches 430 kW (577 hp). This model also adopts an 800V high-voltage platform. As a result, it is capable of charging 450 km of range in nine minutes. Other highlights of the G9L include 22-inch rims, a 1,152-liter trunk, and electrically powered doors with a soft-closing function. The Xpeng G9L features the brand’s second-gen Vision Language Action (VLA) model with four AI Turing chips for a peak computing power of 2,250 TOPS. The new vehicle will enter the Chinese market shortly as the brand aims to solidify its market performance.
