Bugatti has released a stunning set of photos showcasing this incredible piece of engineering, as it enters its next phase of development. The level of hype surrounding this insane hypercar is unparalleled, with the Bolide winning awards before it’s even been launched.
The heart of this beast is an 8,0-litre quad-turbo W16 engine, which generates a mind-blowing 1 360 kW of power and 1 849 N.m of torque on 110-octane racing fuel. It’s not just the specs that make this car special, it’s the sound it produces, which is utterly unreal. The engine is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that sends power to all wheels, enabling the Bolide to achieve 0-100 km/h in an incredible 2,17 seconds.

Christophe Piochon, President of Bugatti Automobiles, says that “The Bolide is treading new ground for Bugatti. Never before has such a powerful engine been paired with an ultra-lightweight design to create a track car that delivers motorsport levels of performance.” This philosophy is taken to a whole new level with the Bolide, where the “form follows performance” mantra is executed flawlessly.

Bugatti has redesigned the spoiler, which now dips down between the prominent fins at the corners, giving the car an even more aggressive stance. The large air ducts at the front may have undergone some minor reshaping, while the roof scoop looks more prominent. Sadly, there are no new photos of the rear, so we can’t confirm if the huge diffuser and centre-mount quad-exhaust outlets are as impressive as before.
