BHPetrol service stations nationwide will now be accepting the ShopeePay mobile wallet payments, according to Boustead Petroleum Marketing Sdn Bhd. The partnership with ShopeePay is one of the steps the company is taking towards the digitalisation of payments.
BHPetrol stations’ revenue has been impacted by the restrictions to economic and travel activities. But the company believes that the roll-out of the vaccination programme in Malaysia will help to increase fuel consumption once again.
Meanwhile, Head of ShopeePay Alain Yee said “As economic sectors slowly begin to reopen and Malaysians head out for business as usual, the demand for petrol is set to rise again. We have timed our partnership as such that it would be launched to best benefit Malaysians as this collaboration with BHPetrol will see ShopeePay users be rewarded with attractive cashback. This will also help put more money back into the pockets of BHPetrol customers.”
To mark the occasion, users of ShopeePay at any BHPetrol outlet with eWallet acceptance in the country will receive RM4 cashback with a minimum spend of RM40. Each customer can receive a total of three cashbacks during the campaign period from 1 March till 30 April 2021.
BHPetrol stations are powered by GHL Systems Bhd that provides the terminals to the petrol stations in order to accept ShopeePay across the country.
