Here's what you can expect from the handsome compact car.
Mazda has released pricing for the 2024 3 Hatchback and 3 Sedan. While the handsome compact vehicle is slightly more expensive, the Japanese brand has added more safety equipment to the base 2.5 S model. There are also two new trim levels.
Mazda has removed the 3 Hatchback 2.5 S from the lineup, leaving the four-door to cater to value-conscious customers. $1,620 pricier than last year, the $24,170 2.5 S Sedan now receives rear cross-traffic alert, blind spot monitoring, and rear door alert as part of the comprehensive i-Activesense safety suite.
Despite its status as the base model, the S receives push-button start, rain-sensing windshield wipers, automatic LED headlights, 16-inch alloy wheels, and an 8.8-inch infotainment screen.

Select Sport is new for MY2024 and replaces the Select Package. Offered as a sedan ($24,690) or a hatchback ($25,690), this grade introduces dual-zone climate control, black leatherette seats, 18-inch wheels, and a leather-trimmed steering wheel and gear lever. Keyless entry also forms part of the package.
If you want more luxury but don't want to break the bank, the 2.5 S Preferred may appeal to you. Coming in at $26,190 and $27,390 for the hatch and sedan, respectively, the Preferred brings premium features such as a power sunroof, heated front seats, and an eight-way adjustable powered driver's seat with memory and lumbar support, among other things.
The Carbon Edition can be specified as a sedan ($29,060) or a hatch ($30,260) and comes with a single color combination, pairing Polymetal Gray paintwork with red leather. Carbon Edition models receive all the goodies found on the Preferred, along with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and a wireless phone charger. All-wheel drive is also standard on this variant.

Available exclusively in hatchback guise, the $30,350 Premium will appeal to keen drivers. This variant is available with a six-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive, which should make the commute a bit more exciting. With a Bose 12-speaker premium audio system, satellite navigation, and adaptive front lights, the 3 Hatchback Premium has plenty of luxury onboard. Customers can also option leather seats in red or black. 18-inch wheels form part of the package.
All the aforementioned models employ a naturally-aspirated 2.5-liter engine with 191 horsepower and 186 lb-ft on offer. Should you want more poke under your right foot, perhaps the Turbo models are worth looking at?
The Mazda3 Carbon Turbo is new for 2024. Available exclusively in Zircon Sand Metallic, the Carbon Turbo gains motivation from a turbocharged 2.5-liter engine with 250 hp and 320 lb-ft. Power is sent to all four wheels via a six-speed auto 'box. The sedan weighs costs $31,750, while the hatch is priced at $32,950.

Aside from the black-painted side mirrors and 18-inch wheels, the Carbon Turbo receives a larger 10.25-inch infotainment display, which functions as a touchscreen when paired with the wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. That's quite an exciting development, as Mazda has always avoided using touchscreens. The 3 has even won awards for its intuitive and safe infotainment system, controlled via a rotary knob.
Finally, we have the Turbo Premium Plus. Powered by the same 250-hp motor as the Carbon Turbo, the Premium Plus receives a 360-degree camera with front and rear parking sensors, Traffic Sign Recognition, satellite navigation, and available leather seats. Additional safety features, such as Smart Brake Support-Reverse, form part of the i-Activesense suite. Yours for $35,450 (sedan) and $36,650 (hatch).
Mazda's gorgeous metallic shades are available at extra cost: Soul Red Crystal Metallic ($595), Machine Gray Metallic ($595), Polymetal Gray Metallic ($450), Snowflake White Pearl Mica ($450), Ceramic Metallic ($450).
All 2024 prices listed here exclude the $1,165 destination and handling fees ($1,210 in Alaska).
