Though Nissan has yet to confirm a price for the new Z, US News theorizes that it won’t increase in price a whole lot relative to the outgoing 2020 Nissan 370Z. The 370Z’s pricing started at $30,090 on the low end and spanned to $47,190 for the top-level trim.
Additionally, Nissan has yet to announce any specific performance figures. Although, they claim that the new Z has a 15 percent quicker zero to 60 mile per hour time than the outgoing 370Z. So, US News estimates the new Z will make the 60 mph sprint in about 4.5 seconds.

Fortunately, Nissan has released the engine and drivetrain specs for the world to stare at in anticipation.
Under the hood of the 2023 Nissan Z is a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine. Nissan confirmed that the engine makes 400 horsepower, which is plenty for the average sports car enthusiast to enjoy.
Furthermore, to enthusiasts’ delight, Nissan also confirmed that the 2023 Nissan Z will be available with a six-speed manual transmission. Additionally, a nine-speed automatic transmission with lightning-fast shifts controlled by on-wheel paddle shifters is also available. Whether automatic or manual, the new Z retains its rear-wheel drive heritage.
Further aiding in the driving experience is a mechanical limited-slip differential to ensure the power delivered through the engine and transmission is adequately put down no matter the circumstance. Additionally, the new Z is equipped with launch control, a chassis 10 percent stiffer than the outgoing 370Z, high-performance brakes, and tuned suspension and electric power steering to deliver a planted and sporty driving experience whether on the road or on a race track.
Stylish and functional inside and out

Nissan went out of its way to ensure that the new Z pays proper homage to its origin; the original Datsun 240Z. The 240Z very plainly inspires the new Z’s long hood and rear-end design. However, the retro body lines are perfectly complemented by modern lighting and design touches to bring the whole package together. It truly is a gorgeous piece of engineering.
The interior of the new Z is equally enticing. Equipped with sporty bolstered seats and a digital gauge cluster with design input from a NISMO Super GT racing driver, the Z very much has a driver-focused cockpit. However, it’s not without its creature comforts. In the center console lies an eight-inch touchscreen display with Android Auto and Apple Carplay integration.
The retro styling and nods to its heritage continue inside, as well. The three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel borrows the original 240Z’s center wheel design and logo for the airbag while utilizing modern technology inspired by the Nissan GT-R. Furthermore, atop the center console sits three gauges mounted into the dash as an homage to the 240Z’s similar triple gauge display. These gauges display turbo boost level, battery voltage, and turbine speed up to 220,000 RPM on the new Z.

The all-new 2023 Nissan Z is set to go on sale at US Nissan dealers in the Spring of 2022. So, we’re getting awfully close!
On top of the base and performance trims, a 2023-only limited-edition trim called the “Proto” will also be available for sale. Nissan will sell only 240 of them in the US, and the pricing is likely to be quite steep. According to Auto Evolution, the Proto spec models already have a price of about $61,000 for the Japanese market. Here’s hoping that the standard range of models will have a far less substantial price tag.
Ultimately, the official release of the new 2023 Nissan Z can’t come soon enough for car fans.
