2023 Bangkok International Motor Show kicks off in March 22

For over 40 years, the Bangkok International Motor Show (BIMS) has been the premier automotive show here in Southeast Asia and has attracted millions of spectators from all over the world.

This year, the annual event will be featuring 37 brands from both the automotive and motorcycle industry between March 22 to April 2, presenting their new models and their latest technologies on display covering more than 17 hectares of exhibition space.

“This year’s show is held under the concept of “Colorful Experience” to reflect a variety of experiences through the endless development of automotive technology, especially the coming of electric vehicles that are about to bring a new way of traveling in the new era to everyone,” says Dr. Prachin Eamlumnow, CEO of Grand Prix International Public Company Limited and the Chairman of the 44^th Bangkok International Motor Show.

BIMS: a driving force for electric vehicles

As battery technology improve, more and more people are swapping their fossil fuel-burning ride for electric-powered machine. For the past decade, there is no doubt that BIMS has been one of the major driving forces in promoting zero-combustion electric vehicles (EVs) not only to the Thai market but also to the whole of SE Asia.

“Moreover, supportive campaigns from the government in various aspects such as the tax measures that allow consumers to own one at a reasonable retail price, and the production measures that support the production for domestic consumption and for exportation in the future. Therefore, this is another year that Bangkok Motor Show plays an important role in driving the Thai automotive industry with the introduction of electric cars and a variety of electric motorcycles at the event,” said Eamlumnow.

The 44^th Bangkok International Motor Show will be happening between March 22 to April 2, 2023, at the Challenger Hall, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, Bangkok, Thailand.

The following motorcycle brands that will participate in this year’s BIMS include: Thai Honda Manufacturing, Suzuki Motosales, Yamaha, BMW Motorrad, Harley-Davidson, Ducati, Triumph, and Alpha Volantis.
