Jeep’s parent company Stellantis late January announced Canadian pricing for the 2022 Grand Cherokee 4xe.
The environmentally improved Jeep will start at $74,995 for the base Grand Cherokee 4xe, compared to the gas-powered Cherokee’s entry level Laredo down at $51,545. Another three trim levels (Trailhawk, Overland, and Summit) are available on the electric version, as well as a Summit Reserve package.
The Grand Cherokee Trailhawk 4xe comes with a suggested retail price of $75,595, and represents the most off-road-ready of the options, with semi-autonomous off-roading assistance tech and five drive modes, including auto, sport, rock, snow, and mud/sand.
At a price of $81,495 (plus the same $2,095 destination charge they all get) the Grand Cherokee Overland 4xe combines some of the rugged readiness with a collection of more comfort-oriented features like Nappa leather seats, ambient lighting, and a 19-speaker sound system.
The penultimate Grand Cherokee 4xe on offer is the Summit, which is priced at $86,995 and includes more luxury trimmings like quilted seats, a four-zone climate control system, and safety features like drowsy-driver detection and road-sign recognition.
For $2,000 more, Canadian shoppers can opt for it all in the Grand Cherokee 4xe Summit Reserve package. “It all” in this case being ventilated massage seats in Palermo leather, open-pore waxed walnut wood touches, and 21-inch wheels. Over in ICE territory, the top-end Grand Cherokee Summit is priced at $81,535.
The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe is expected in dealerships this spring and is currently in production at the Stellantis Mack Assembly Plant in Detroit.
