1967 Corvette Tri-Power Big Block Is Utter Perfection
This spectacular L71 is certainly the cream of the Corvette crop.
Celebrated Machine
Few Corvettes in history are quite a revered as the 1967 model when equipped with pretty much any of the engines offered that year, but particularly the top dog in that pack – the tri-power big block 427, which was factory rated to produce 435 horsepower. The L71, as it’s otherwise known, is a valuable and beloved collectible today, and that makes this extra-special example that recently went up for grabs at Autohunter a pretty darn cool find.

Low Mile Resto
The buyer of this C2 is now just its third owner, and they’re bound to fall in love with it thanks to its amazing condition, prominence, and that gorgeous Goodwood Green paint. With just 26k original miles on the clock and coming fresh off a stunning restoration, they just don’t get much nicer than this.

Lower Spec
This ’67 isn’t a high-spec car by any means, however – only where it counts, and that’s under the skin. On the inside, this Corvette is equipped with an AM/FM radio, but has crank windows and manual steering, black vinyl seats, and rubber floor mats, while the seat covers, door panels, dash pads, and carpeting are original.

Big Block
The crowning jewel of this particular Corvette, of course, is its engine, which is the aforementioned L71 427 V8 with a trio of carbs up top. The numbers-matching powerplant is mated to a Muncie M21 four-speed manual transmission and has been treated to some fresh orange paint and a reproduction chrome air cleaner.

New Stuff
On the outside, this green beauty features both a white soft top and a body-color painted removable hardtop, a stinger hood, and replacement chrome, taillights, and bumpers that look brand new because they are. The timeless classic rolls on a set of Rally wheels wrapped with Firestone Super Sports 7.75-15 redline bias-ply tires.

Notable Features
Various other notable features present on this 1967 Corvette include a four-wheel independent suspension, the optional F41 suspension, a numbers-matching Positraction rear end equipped with 3.70 gears, and manual disc brakes.

Proper Legend
Ultimately, this very special car hammered for $170k, which is a solid price for such a nice ride. But with loads of documentation, the correct parts, and a stunning restoration to offer, that’s pretty much what we’d expect from a proper legend like this.
