Annual Jeep meet set for two highly modified off-roaders that could herald aftermarket parts
Jeep Performance Parts (JPP) has begun teasing the first of “several” concepts it has created for its annual Easter Jeep Safari festival that this year will be held on April 9-17.
Set to be unveiled ahead of the Jeep fest held in Moab, Utah, the first concept looks like it will be based on the latest Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Named the 4xe electrified SUV, the concept bags wider front fenders and plastic cladding, LED surrounds for the front fogs and a bright LED upper element in the headlamps.
Claimed to have been created to “take four-wheeling to the next level”, the electrified Jeep due to be revealed is said to be capable of conquering “even the most tumultuous terrain along the back country trails of Moab.”
It’s thought the plug-in SUV will come equipped with a raised ride height, grippier all-terrain tyres and tougher, more rugged styling.
The second tease is a concept clearly based on the latest Gladiator. Sadly, there’s little to go on from the obscured image, other than it will get a new sun visor.
One rumour is JPP might have adapted last year’s all-electric Wrangler Magneto’s powertrain for the Gladiator, but more teases on both are expected in the near future.
