After its
global reveal last December
, sportscar fans won’t have to wait long for Mazda Philippines to bring in the latest iteration of its iconic two-seater. The date for the 2022 MX-5 launch is set and that’s on February 16.
So far, Mazda Philippines hasn’t revealed any market specific detail yet, but checking out what’s on offer elsewhere indicates that Kinetic Posture Control or KPC should be heading to local units.
Unique to Mazda MX-5 and applied to both the soft top and RF, KPC uses the MX-5’s suspension structure to provide a more integrated and stable turning posture at high speed, giving a greater sense of driver involvement, without adding even a single gram to the weight of the vehicle. Other possible changes include body-colored side view mirrors (the current 2021 MX-5 has high-gloss black ones) and the addition of wireless Apple CarPlay. In terms of colors, expect
Platinum Quartz Metallic
to make its debut as well as a Navy Blue soft top option. Inside, Terracota Nappa Leather will likely replace the current Red Nappa Leather.
