Bikerbox hints PH arrival of new Himalayan 450
The Royal Enfield Himalayan motorcycle has been one of India’s top-selling models since its inception in 2016. After a few minor updates, it has recently received a major overhaul in its engine and design, and this new Himalayan is highly anticipated by its solid fanbase across the globe.
The next question from its Pinoy fans: “When will it arrive in the PH?” Bikerbox says it could be in the country by Q2 of 2024.
Mike Bondoc, Bikerbox’s big boss, shared with MotoPinas.com that the new Himalayan 450 may arrive on our shores anytime between May and April 2024. The new Royal Enfield Himalayan is powered by a new 452cc liquid-cooled Sherpa engine.
Bikerbox announced that they have become the Philippines’ new Royal Enfield distributor earlier this month.
What’s new
The new Himalayan 450 received a major overhaul from top to bottom. It has received a new engine which Royal Enfield engineers dubbed as the “Sherpa” – like the high-altitude sherpas that inspired it.
The new engine is now liquid-cooled and produces a claimed 41 Ps of power and 40 Nm of torque. The new Himalayan 450 also boasts a new Tripper dash – a fully digital screen with Bluetooth connectivity. Also, the front suspension now enjoys Showa USD forks, ride-by-wire, 2-riding modes, and a much sleeker overall design.
PH price is to be advised.
