Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello is here, starts at PHP 1.150M

It was at the 2021 EICMA when Moto Guzzi first gave the world a glimpse of the V100 Mandello – a masterpiece celebrating the company’s 100 years of founding in the town of Mandello del Lario, Italy.

At the recently held Makina Moto Show, Bikerbox unveiled the V100 Mandello to the delight of Pinoy motorcycle enthusiasts. SRP starts at PHP 1,150,000.

V100 Mandello

The V100 Mandello is powered by a 1,042cc transverse liquid-cooled V-twin that churns out 117 Ps of power and 105 Nm of torque. According to Moto Guzzi, 90% of that power is already available in as little as 3,500 rpm, with the rev-limiter set at 9,500 rpm.

The shaft drive employs a long aluminum single-sided swingarm, now positioned on the left. The drive shaft exit position, much lower with respect to previous Moto Guzzi engines, does away with any suspension reaction owing to the transfer of torque, with no need for linkage on the swingarm. This makes for a smooth ride during both acceleration and release, similar to that offered by a chain drive, but with the typical advantages of the shaft, so less maintenance and greater cleanliness.

Technology

The V100 Mandello also boasts top-shelf electronics to make the ride more comfortable and safer. For instance, the V100 Mandello is equipped with a semi-active suspension from Öhlins (S-version), ride-by-wire throttle, advanced Marelli 11MP ECU, riding modes, 4-level traction control, 3-level engine brake control, 5-inch TFT screen (with smartphone connectivity), full-LED lighting, quick shifter and many more.

Moto Guzzi technology also contributes to increasing both comfort and air protection, with the world-first adoption of an adaptive aerodynamic system that automatically adjusts the position of deflectors on the sides of the 17.5-liter tank depending on the speed and selected Riding Mode.

The fully raised aerodynamic appendages reduce air pressure on the rider by 22%, which brings V100 Mandello close to the level of air protection afforded by more voluminous and less sporty tourers, thanks also to the protection provided by the top fairing, the height of which can be electronically adjusted.
