The vehicle continues to be a great deal too.
The Nissan Sentra is back at it again for 2024, offering stellar value, solid standard features, and updated styling for the new model year. The S, SV, and SR trims all return but now feature updated front fascias and restyled headlights on all trims, along with a restyled rear and new interior elements added to the SR. The powertrain has also been tweaked for better efficiency and smoother shifting, not added performance.
There's no word on pricing yet, but at some point last year, it crested beyond a $20k starting price for the first time. A small price hike is likely, but even with a price increase, we believe it is a fantastic option for anyone looking for great value for the money.

Starting off with the looks, Nissan reshaped the front of the car with an updated version of the V-motion grille that puts it more in line with the rest of the lineup. It looks more modern than the outgoing version, featuring a little less chrome and Nissan's updated logo. All trims feature updated headlights with black interior bezel elements meant to invoke a sportier look, and the popular SV trim features a new 16-inch wheel choice.
Nissan wants its top SR trim to stand out even more from the others by featuring even more updated looks with darker features and red SR badging. The V-motion grille now has dark chrome trim, dark chrome outer elements, and the trim beneath the grille is now body colored. Unique to this trim is updated rear styling with a new lower fascia graphic that the company says helps the car to look lower and wider.

The vehicle also features new red/orange interior stitching to match the Altima SR among other models, and a new 18-inch wheel design is available. Finally, the SR trim offers two-tone paint options with the colors Aspen White Tricoat, Monarch Orange Metallic, Electric Blue Metallic, and the new Atlantic Gray able to be paired with a black roof.
Power is again supplied by a 2.0-liter inline-four engine that sends 149 horsepower and 146 lb-ft of torque to the front wheels. 2024 sees a new Xtronic CVT that was designed for improved fuel economy and smoother shifting. A stop-start system is standard across the range to help fuel economy as well. No updated numbers were reported, but in its most fuel-efficient trims, the 2023 Sentra mustered 29/39/33 mpg city/highway/combined; any improvement will be a bonus.

Everything else remains the same from last year, which is pretty good if you ask us as the little car is very well equipped especially thanks to the Nissan Safety Shield 360, which offers things like blind spot warning, forward collision warning, high beam assist, automatic emergency braking, and much more standard across all of the different trims.
These features are wonderful to have in any vehicle but much more important in small cars, given the recent crash test results confirmed by the IIHS.
The 2024 Nissan Sentra should hit dealer lots in the next few months, with pricing to be announced shortly.
