Nissan Canada released Canadian pricing for the 2023 Nissan Ariya early October. The company’s first all-electric crossover starts at $52,998, will be offered with either front-wheel-drive or “e-4ORCE” — Nissan’s 100-per-cent electric all-wheel-drive system — and a choice of a long-range (87-kWh) or standard-range (63-kWh) battery option.
There are six trims levels, starting with the FWD Engage at that base MSRP; it comes with the 63-kWh battery. Next up is the Evolve trim, starting at $60,598; it houses the same battery, but comes with AWD (e-4ORCE). If AWD isn’t as important as the larger battery, $1,100 less gives you the Venture+ trim with the bigger battery and FWD. Then, there’s the Evolve+ trim ($64,998), Platinum+ ($69,198), and top Premiere trim ($69,998).
On the high end, Nissan claims the Ariya offers up to 490 km of range, and delivers between 214 and 389 horsepower, depending on trim.
“The Nissan Ariya is an important part of our Ambition 2030 goals to drive electrified mobility for all,” said Ken Hearn, Director of Marketing, Nissan Canada. “Ariya is a fully equipped all-electric crossover at an accessible price point, allowing Canadian customers to experience a seamless transition to driving electric.”
All Ariya models include Nissan Safety Shield 360, ProPILOT Assist with Navi-link, and a 12.3-inch centre display with wireless Apple CarPlay, wired Android Auto. Deliveries are expected to start late fall for FWD models; and early 2023 for AWD models.
