It is finally here. The all-new BMW M2. Borrowing parts from its larger siblings and faster than any model wearing its nameplate that has come before it, it promises to be a highly desirable driver’s car in an age dominated by high-riding SUVs.
With the occasional spy shot revealing the aesthetics before its grand debut, many enthusiasts were apprehensive about its styling. Designers in Munich have opted to retain a much more slender kidney grille in comparison to the controversial set mounted fore of the M3 and M4, but the model subjectively remains quite conservative, save from widened wheel arches and carbon fibre bits. Regardless, the latest M car is set to rewrite the rule book and give pure ICE motors a proper sendoff.
