The 3 Series makes a late pass and ends up sliding in the dirt.

If there’s one place where you can be sure that cockiness will be punished, it’s the Nürburgring. With tight walls, high speeds, and heavy traffic, this track will punish your slightest indiscretion. So when this E92 BMW driver went off, he was lucky to get through with his car intact.
The video, shot from what appears to be an E36 BMW M3 and uploaded to YouTube by bajasmc, shows an E92 3 Series making a pass pretty late in the braking zone. That bites them seconds later, with their excess momentum tugging him into the dirt and sending the rear end of his car sliding. The driver manages to keep the slide under control through the corner, with the front end still gripping on pavement, before recovering.
Because of those car control skills, the driver avoided damage and was able to continue on. But the video is a good reminder that—during a public lapping day—it’s usually better to wait for a clear passing opportunity rather than chancing it on a corner pass. If you do push those limits, you better be ready to pull off a save like this.
