A school bus in Albuquerque, New Mexico, US was rammed by a street-racing white , causing seven children to be hospitalized, two of whom were seriously injured.
The 23 middle schoolers can be seen conversing on their way home from school in the seconds before impact on 23-February-2022, some roaming between seats. As the bus rolls onto its side, they are suddenly tossed to one side and then the other, sending their legs flying.

Around 5 pm, driver Mario Perez, 49, slammed into the passenger side of the bus near the back wheel while travelling at around 100 miles per hour (160 kilometres per hour). Moments before the incident, he was racing another blue Mustang.
Perez, who was rushed to the hospital with a broken femur was not intoxicated during the incident.
Seven pupils from the George I. Sanchez Collaborative Community School, Albuquerque, were brought to the hospital for medical examinations. Two had serious injuries to their legs, including one with a shattered femur, while Lula Maldanado, 13, had a pelvic fracture that required surgery.
Perez faces up to six years in jail if convicted of two counts of careless driving causing grievous bodily harm. On 3-April-2022, he appeared in court in a wheelchair with braces on each leg.
