2022 Genesis G70 Shooting Brake: What is it?
Genesis launched its brand to the UK media recently, with plans with a range of models to take on Premium manufacturers such as BMW, Audi and Mercedes.
Those models include a large SUV called the GV80 that'll rival cars like the BMW X5, a G80 large saloon to go against the 5 Series and a G70 to compete with the 3 Series.
This G70 Shooting Brake is an estate version of the G70, with a sleeker roofline and a more practical hatch boot opening. It'll compete with cars like the BMW 3 Series Touring, Audi A4 Avant and Mercedes C-Class Estate.
2022 Genesis G70 Shooting Brake: What is it powered by?
There have been no confirmed engines for the G70 Shooting Brake yet, but it would make sense that it gets the same engines as the G70 and elsewhere in the Genesis range.
These include a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol with 252hp and a 3.0-litre V6 making 365hp, both available with two or four-wheel-drive. An eight-speed automatic gearbox will be standard on all models.
2022 Genesis G70 Shooting Brake: When will it be on sale?
There haven't been any confirmed dates from Genesis on when the G70 Shooting Brake will go on sale, but we expect it to be launched later in 2021 and probably go on sale early in 2022.
2022 Genesis G70 Shooting Brake: How much will it cost
Genesis revealed its new G70 saloon recently, but there were no confirmed prices to go with that launch. However, given the prices of cars like the BMW 3 Series Touring, Audi A4 Avant and Mercedes C-Class Estate, we expect the G70 Shooting Brake to cost from around £40,000.
