2023 Audi A4 Avant: what is it?
The A4 is a staple of Audi’s range, and so the up and coming all-new model is an important car for the German marque. This Avant estate test mule caught testing in the snow suggests that this car could introduce a new design language for Audi that features a notably smaller grille. There’s also a more pronounced slope in its roofline, not to mention more dynamic bodywork front and rear.
While proportionally still recognisable as an Audi A4 Avant, reports suggest that this car has grown in scale.
2023 Audi A4 Avant: what is it powered by?
This is an all-new generation of A4, so it might usher in a new series of engines. We can expect the usual line-up of petrol and diesel four-cylinders, but an increasing emphasis on plug-in hybrid models. There might even be an EV variant later in time.
Of course, Audi will give us the RS4 Avant we all want later down the line. Will it retain that twin-turbocharged V6?
2023 Audi A4 Avant: when will it be on sale?
The new A4 should be revealed at some point later this year. However, with so many variants, expect some to be spread out later down the line. We’ll likely get a new saloon, Avant, Allroad, S4, and RS4.
Initial variants should be on sale before the year is out, with cars hitting the road in late 2022 or early 2023.
2023 Audi A4 Avant: how much will it cost?
Pricing is speculative at this point, but we wouldn’t expect this new car to stray too far from the current model’s price point. An all-new car with fresh tech will mean a price bump, so a starting figure of £40,000 for the Avant seems reasonable.
Obviously, the high-performance RS4 will push beyond £70,000.
