2022 Genesis GV60: what is it?
The Genesis models keep coming as the Korean brand continues to take its assault on Europe extremely seriously.
So far we've seen G60 and G80 saloons, plus a GV80 large SUV, but this Genesis GV60 will be a smaller SUV with distinctly coupe-like styling. It'll also be powered by electricity.
In these latest spy shots we can see a test mule fitted with cameras instead of door mirrors – tech seen on multiple other EVs. We can also see an alloy wheel design that's likely to make it to production.
2022 Genesis GV60: what is it powered by?
The GV60 will be based on the same underpinnings as the Kia EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5.
That should mean the flexibility to have motors on one or both axles, plus a range of up to around 300 miles.
For instance, the Kia EV6 can travel up to 316 miles on a charge, get to 60mph from a standstill in as little as 3.5 seconds and gets 800-volt charging which can add 60 miles of range in less than five minutes.
2022 Genesis GV60: when will it be on sale?
Genesis is yet to confirm an exact on-sale date for the GV60, but we'd estimate it'll go on sale either later in 2021 or in early 2022.
2022 Genesis GV60: how much will it cost?
There's also no confirmed prices for the GV60, but this will be the brand's entry-level model.
The Kia EV6 starts at around £41,000 and we'd expect this GV60 to cost more, so around £45,000 rising to around £60,000 seems a sensible guess.
