PARIS: Peugeot will have three world premieres at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show 2016 (March 3 to 13) – the refreshed 2008 compact SUV, Traveller MPV and Traveller i-Lab VIP shuttle.
The 2008 is Peugeot ‘s most successful international product, with production ramped up to 515,000 vehicles worldwide – in Europe as well as Brazil and China.
For 2016, the 2008 is updated with a new Ultimate Red colour, and a new GT Line trim which adds a sports theme to the red/black treatment.
On the 2008, there is the Grip Control traction control system as well as a Mirror Screen that uses MirrorLink and Apple Carplay technology.
It also gets a reversing camera, with Active City Brake and Park Assist.
Meanwhile, the Peugeot Traveller MPV will make a remarkable entry into the Combispace and VIP Shuttle sector, with multiple configurations up to 9 seats.
The Traveller’s new base is adapted from the EMP2 modular platform, and its Euro6 BlueHDi engines offer up to 180hp and 400Nm.
With the Traveller i-Lab, Peugeot presents its vision of the future for business customer travel.
For on-board guests, there are four individual seats that are arranged opposite one another around a giant 32-inch touch tablet, with the capacitive touchscreen and supported by an arch.
Also, a WiFi hotspot, Bluetooth, induction charging docks or virtual reality headset can be provided.
For the driver, the Traveller i-Lab has road sign reading and driver inattention monitoring devices, as well as a new-generation Peugeot connected 3D navigation which optimises journeys according to the traffic and the passenger’s agenda.
