Rolls-Royce has been busy photographing the first of its Dawn Silver Bullet editions: a vehicle that will be limited to just fifty examples and takes the exclusivity of the drop-top Dawn model even further by shedding its rear seats.
Rather than two small but luxurious chairs sitting behind driver and front passenger, Rolls-Royce has looked towards roadsters of the early 1920s and installed aerodynamic cowling instead, giving the vehicle a new and quite dramatically sporting look.
This particular contemporary interpretation of a classic roadster is finished in an ultra-metallic Brewster Silver Paint, which Rolls-Royce claims is a vibrant nod to the epic trials cars of the past, such as the Silver Dawn, Silver King, Silver Silence and Silver Spectre.
As always, customers will be able to go to town with their commissions, carefully selecting interior hides and exterior paintwork, but here, the Aero Cowling features a vapour-blasted titanium finisher and is covered in the same sumptuous leather as the rest of the interior.
There is no word on any engine tweaks, so customers can expect the same 563bhp 6.6-litre V12 as the regular Dawn, which is able to complete the 0-60mph sprint in just 4.9 seconds. Deeply impressive for such a large and heavy car.
To prove this vehicle’s exclusivity, Rolls-Royce has etched Silver Bullet into a strut that resided between the rear cowling, while numbered plaques can be added to the dash and door plates. Rolls-Royce hasn't revealed an official asking price but seeing as it is limited to just 50 examples, it is not going to be cheap
