The new 50.3 kWh battery pack can push the car for 461 km on a single charge
The new MG ZS EV definitely looks sharper than before. Just like the global model, the MG has updated the India-spec version with a revamped front-end. Just like before it gets a closed grille and the location of the charging port has changed to the left side of the grille.
The new ZS EV also gets all-LED headlamps with much sharper daytime running lamps. These look similar to the MG Astor. MG has also updated the front bumper of the ZS EV and it now gets chrome inserts across its width.
The electric SUV now gets a longer range
MG has not updated the side of the car as much. It gets new 17-inch machined alloy wheels and an updated five-spoke design. The front fender still gets the same ‘electric’ badge on it. The new model will get a new set of tail lamps.
The electric car continues to get the massive panoramic sunroof, which is a unique feature in the segment.
The new MG ZS EV gets new features like the 360-degree camera and a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connectivity solutions like Apple Carplay and Android Auto. MG is not offering the ADAS system that is available with the MG Astor. But, it gets features like a blind-spot warning system. MG has also added new vents for the rear passengers.
Does the new MG ZS EV get more range?
The real world range is likely to be around 400 km
MG offers a larger 50.3 kWh battery pack for the ZS EV. It replaces the old 44 kWh battery pack unit from the outgoing model and increases the driving range to 461 km (claimed) on a single charge.
The electric motor of the ZS EV has become more powerful as well. It generates a maximum power of 176 PS against 143 PS produced by the outgoing model. The usual features like brake regeneration and drive modes will be available with the facelift version of the car as well.
