Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has unveiled the formidable Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 S 4MATIC+ Coupé, amplifying its position as a trendsetter in the compact performance segment with a range of innovative enhancements. This model is more than just a performance car; it’s a statement of power and style.

Exterior

It boasts a distinctive AMG-specific radiator grille adorned with vertical slats, emphasizing its brand affiliation. Its front apron has been reshaped, complemented by a round badge featuring the iconic AMG emblem. The inside of the headlights showcases the Multibeam LED technology, further enhancing its visual appeal.

For personalisation, the Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 S offers exciting new paint colours including hyper blue and spectral blue. Additionally, options like Manufaktur Mountain grey MAGNO and Manufaktur Patagonia red metallic paint are available for those seeking a touch of individuality.

The car comes standard with 19” AMG 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels in a striking matte black finish with high-sheen rim flange, accentuated by red painted brake calipers. Customers also have the option to choose 19” AMG cross-spoke forged wheels or 19” AMG 5-twin-spoke light alloy wheels.

Interior

Inside, the cabin is adorned with two 10.25-inch displays, creating a seamless high-tech experience. The AMG Performance steering wheel, crafted from nappa leather and Microcut microfiber, incorporates intuitive controls allowing the driver to manage critical functions without losing focus on the road. The head-up display keeps essential information in direct view, ensuring maximum attention on driving.

Seating comfort is elevated with the AMG Performance seats featuring Artico man-made leather and Microcut microfibre. Optional leather upholstery and Manufaktur seat belts in red accentuate the sporty theme. Aluminum AMG Design trim elements add a touch of elegance and excitement.

Performance and Technology

Under the hood lies the heart of the AMG CLA 45 S, a powerful 2.0-litre turbocharged engine delivering an astonishing 421hp. This propels the Coupé from 0 to 100km/h in just 4.1 seconds, with a top speed limited to 270km/h. The fully variable all-wheel drive system, AMG Torque Control, significantly contributes to its dynamic driving experience, providing superior handling and control.

The AMG Ride Control suspension within it offers exceptional performance for both everyday driving and on the track, ensuring a thrilling driving experience.

Incorporating an impressive array of features, including the Driving Assistance Package and Active Parking Assist with a 360° camera, it proves to be a combination of power, style, and technology, setting a new standard in the compact performance segment.

There is also a special limited edition offered: the AMG Street Style Edition. This edition stands out with its Manufaktur mountain grey Magno paintwork and distinctive side foiling featuring the AMG logo and a chequered-flag design. The sporty appearance is further highlighted by vibrant fluorescent orange colour accents.

Rolling on 19-inch AMG forged wheels in a cross-spoke design, painted matte black with a high-sheen turned rim flange, the edition showcases red-painted brake callipers that provide an attractive contrast to the wheels. Other exterior features include the AMG Aerodynamics package, the AMG Night package I and II, and the AMG fuel-filler cap.

Moving to the interior, the AMG Street Style Edition boasts a unique design. The AMG Performance seat in black Artico/Microcut microfibre features seams and highlights in bright orange. The interior is further adorned with the “CLA 45 S” label in orange, carrying the brand emblem into the interior.

The AMG Performance steering wheel in Microcut leather/microfibre and the AMG trim elements in aluminium, matching the exterior foiling pattern, add accents to the interior. Attention to detail is evident in the instrument panel with contrasting orange stitching and the AMG door-sill trims with “AMG” lettering, a black interchangeable cover, and Edition-specific lighting in red. Completing the high-quality interior design are AMG floor mats with “Street Style Edition” lettering and orange stitching.

The recommended retail price for the AMG CLA 45 S is RM527,888 with a 10% sales tax. For the special AMG Street Style Edition, the price is RM557,888. These prices are “on the road” and do not include insurance costs.
