Dutch electric bus manufacturer Ebusco has received a follow-up order from the German Südwestdeutsche Landesverkehrs-GmbH (SWEG). The public transport company ordered up to 25 Ebusco 2.2 in the 12-metre version, which will be used in Baden-Wuerttemberg.
SWEG is a public transport company in the southwest of Germany, which, together with its subsidiaries, operates a fleet of around 470 buses. In future, up to 25 purely electric 12-metre buses from Ebusco will be added to the fleet. The partners do not specify their place of operation, only that they will start their service in the region of Baden-Wuerttemberg and are expected to drive about 60,000 km per year.
SWEG has put Ebusco buses on the road before. The transport company had ordered ten Ebusco 2.2 at the beginning of 2022, the first of which are now in service. At that time, the company ordered not only the low-floor buses (each with two doors and over 400 kWh battery capacity) but also ten 100 kW chargers. There are no specifications on the ones ordered now, not even on the battery capacity. All that is known is that the Ebusco 2.2 is equipped with LFP batteries as standard and has a range of up to 450 km with maximum battery capacity.

Ebusco’s electric buses are mainly on the road in the Netherlands and Scandinavia, but they are also in use in some cities in Germany, such as Berlin, Munich and Frankfurt.
