On the inside, this special edition is trimmed in BMW Individual Merino Ivory White and Night Blue. The standard trim is piano black with more handcrafted insignia. Oddly some options are still available. With this being a special edition specifically for the 6th most prosperous country on the planet, we expected BMW to go all in.
BMW also chose not to make any upgrades to the two available engines. The X7 M50i uses BMW’s familiar twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 producing 530 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque. There’s also an entry-level option, which makes no sense whatsoever. It’s based on the base xDrive 40i, equipped with a turbocharged inline-six producing 335 hp and 330 lb-ft of torque.
This is not the most exclusive X7 to date, however. Earlier this year, BMW built a special edition for Japan, and that production run is limited to just 40 models. BMW also made the Nishijin Edition, limited to just three models. That’s more exclusive than a Bentley Bacalar.
