With the number of Covid-19 cases rising at an alarming rate, the Prime Minister, Muhyiddin Yassin has decided to put all states except Sarawak under the Movement Control Order (MCO) again for 2 weeks, starting from from 12.01 am on 13th January until 26th January. 

Movement Control Order (MCO) For Six Districts in Selangor

New Update : 6 Districts in Selangor which are Hulu Langat, Petaling, Gombak, Klang, Kuala Langat, and Sepang will be placed under MCO again starting from the 6th to 17th May 2021 as stated by Senior Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob in an official press conference today while 3 other districts in Selongor – Kuala Selangor, Sabak Bernam and Ulu Selangor will be placed under CMCO (Conditional Movement Control Order).

SOPs for States and Districts under MCO 3.0

  • NO interstate and inter-district travels are allowed.
  • Restaurants, food trucks, and F&B outlets are allowed to operate from 6 am to 12 pm nad no dine-in is allowed.
  • Ramadan bazaars will be allowed to operate during the fasting month with adherence to the SOP. As of now, Ramadan Bazaars may open from 3 pm – 2 am (13 April onwards, food and beverages only) while Aidilfitri Bazaars can open from 10 am – 2 am (17 April onwards, dry goods only).
  • NO social gatherings such as weddings, wedding receptions, and conferences are allowed. 
  • All economic sectors are allowed to operate as usual.

*Individuals who need to travel interdistrict for their vaccine appointment do not need a permission letter from the police and can simply show their proof of appointment on the MySejahtera app, website or SMS if stopped by authorities.

SOPs for Ramadhan and Hari Raya Aidilfitri

  • Ramadan bazaars will be allowed to operate during the fasting month while following the given SOPs strictly. As of now, Ramadan Bazaars may open from 3 pm – 2 am (13 April onwards, food and beverages only) while Aidilfitri Bazaars can open from 10 am – 2 am (17 April onwards, dry goods only).
  • Bazaar vendors and visitors will face a compound of up to a maximum of RM10,000 against the individual and RM50,000 against the organiser upon violation of SOP.
  • Solat Terawih is allowed at mosques and suraus while following the given SOPs strictly and capacity limitations set by authorities.
  • All eateries (restaurants, stalls, fast food outlets, food delivery services) will be allowed to operate until 6 am during the Ramadan period – this is to ease the purchase of sahur meals in the morning. Delivery, takeaway, and dine-in are allowed.
  • Ramadan buffets are allowed to be held for iftar meals, while following the given SOPs strictly. Food handlers will be required to serve food to customers at the buffets, and physical distancing has to be observed at all times.
  • Prayers for Hari Raya Aidilfitri are allowed in all areas with the exception of areas under EMCO.
  • Social activities such as open houses and big gatherings are not allowed in areas under MCO 3.0.
  • House visitations under MCO areas are only allowed on the first day of Hari Raya (13 May 2021) with a maximum of 15 guests.  House visitations under CMCO and RMCO areas are allowed for the first 3 days (13 – 15 May 2021), with not more than 20 and 25 guests respectively.
  • Cemetery visitations are allowed in CMCO and RMCO areas with not more than 6 pax per lot)

At Carsome, your health and safety is always our top priority. That’s why we’re going above and beyond when it comes to your car-selling and buying experience. All our Inspection and Experience centers will be operating as usual during this MCO period, which is why we’re doing everything we can to keep you safe, and this includes implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) based on guidelines from the World Health Organization (WHO).  

1.Temperature checks upon arrival

Everyone from employees to customers, will be subject to temperature checks periodically at the entrance of all Carsome centers. Customers will be given a marker to indicate approved temperature checks.

2.Sanitizers will be provided at all Carsome centers

All surfaces (door handles, tables, chairs) are sanitized up to 6 times a day. Hand sanitizers will be made readily available at all public areas for customers. 

3. Face masks and gloves will be worn at all times

All Carsome staff are required to wear a face mask at all times and disposable gloves during inspection. Masks will be changed every 4 hours, and disposable gloves are discarded responsibly into designated bins. 

4. Contactless transaction

We’ve implemented contactless transactions throughout the inspection and ownership transfer process. This is to minimize contact whenever possible. 

5. Social distancing of 1m

All areas will be labeled accordingly with social distance of at least 1 meter. Do not sit at places marked with an “X”. 

6. Complimentary cleaning and disinfection

All touchpoints in your vehicle will be cleaned and disinfected by our staff before and after the inspection process. Car seat covers are used to minimize bacteria/virus transmission.
