Qualifying for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix has been stopped temporarily following a substantial crash for Haas’ Mick Schumacher.
The incident occurred at the high-speed Turn 12 corner during Q2 as Schumacher attempted to improve his lap time.
The car speared across the track, hit the barrier on the left-hand side before bouncing back and coming to a rest on the ride side of the circuit.
F1’s medical team attended to Schumacher, where he was reported to be conscious and talking with the doctor at the scene.
He was then extracted from the car and taken to the local medical centre, where he will be assessed further.
