This is good news for eager owners of the new pony car.
Several examples of the new Ford Mustang have been spotted onboard a delivery truck in Michigan. This could mean that the S650 Mustangs are already on their way to dealerships – great news for eager owners amid Ford's production setback due to quality issues.
The video below shows three examples of the seventh-generation Mustang: two Mustang GT Convertible models and one GT Coupe model that seems to come with the Performance Package.
Members of the 7thMustang online forum also shared some snaps of the sightings. A member said the trucks were spotted leaving the Flat Rock assembly plant area for three consecutive days.
7thMustang forum user Daydream claims that 11 Mustang-carrying trucks were seen, indicating that the pony cars are on the way to Ford dealerships.
Ford's problem with quality reportedly involved three things: body panel fitment issues, some electrical problems that require additional engineering, and V8 valve problems. With the supposed delivery start, we're hoping Ford has already fixed these things to help with its ongoing struggle with recalls.
The Blue Oval brand reportedly opened the order books for the S650 Mustang sometime in March. Ford's internal data revealed that the all-new Mustang's High-Performance Package for the EcoBoost trim is topping the order list, which has seen a 50% surge compared to the previous three years.

The demand for the said Mustang trim can be attributed to the Electronic Drift Brake, a feature that aids the car for easier drift initiation. Meanwhile, 27% of Mustang orders come with a manual transmission, exclusively available on the GT and the Dark Horse trims.
Regarding paint colors, Ford said that the top choices for the Mustang EcoBoost and GT are Shadow Black, Oxford White, and Rapid Red. Meanwhile, the Blue Ember is the most popular color option for the Mustang Dark Horse, with 39% of buyers opting for it.
The seventh-generation Ford Mustang has two engine options, a 2.3-liter EcoBoost and a 5.0-liter V8. The latter is the Mustang's most powerful V8 engine yet, generating up to 500 horsepower in the Dark Horse. Hopefully, we'll see this at or on its way to dealers soon too.
