Final Ghost-based two-door drop-top rolls off the line ahead of 2024 Rolls-Royce Spectre production
The final Rolls-Royce Dawn convertible has been built at the British car-maker’s Goodwood facility, enabling the luxury brand to prepare the assembly lines for its first-ever electric vehicle.
Australian order books have been closed for both the Rolls-Royce Dawn and the Wraith coupe since early last year, allowing the factory to fulfil existing orders.
All attention now turns to the battery-electric 2024 Rolls-Royce Spectre, which is currently in its final engineering phase before production commences later this year.

First deliveries are expected in the final quarter.
Rolls-Royce insists the Spectre is not a direct replacement for the Dawn and Wraith, but there are no direct replacements for either Ghost-based variant in the pipeline.
Last year, Rolls-Royce celebrated record sales of 6201 units across its range, with the Cullinan SUV claiming around half that volume. The next most popular Roller was the Ghost (30 per cent), followed by the flagship Phantom (10 per cent).
The Dawn and the Wraith only made up 10 per cent of all sales, combined.

Whereas the Dawn and the Wraith featured a twin-turbocharged 6.6-litre V12 that produced up to 442kW/840Nm in the Black Badge version, the new Spectre uses a dual-motor electric powertrain that musters 430kW and 900Nm.
That’s enough for a 0-100km/h dash of 4.5 seconds, while a big 120kWh battery provides for a 520km range.
Sending off the Dawn into the sunset, Rolls-Royce boss Torsten Müller-Ötvös said: “In reviving the Dawn nameplate, Rolls-Royce reinvigorated something much more than a motor car.
“Like the glamorous convertible it drew inspiration from, the contemporary Dawn has come to characterise a modern expression of ‘la dolce vita’ – a way of living that embraces the beauty and richness of life.
“As production of Dawn draws to a close, we can reflect on an extraordinary chapter in the marque’s history.
“This beautiful motor car perfectly embodies contemporary luxury while celebrating the marque’s founding principles and heritage.”
