Audi has unveiled the special edition R8 Green Hell, which looks like a lot like something the Incredible Hulk would drive at weekends. Built to celebrate the success of the R8 LMS GT car in Nürburgring 24 Hours, which it has won no less than five times, the Green Hell comes in a bespoke shade of dark green, but can also be ordered in black, white or grey.
‘Green Hell’ is the nickname awarded to the Nürburgring by Sir Jackie Stewart, which is a fitting tribute to the 13 mile circuit which snakes through rolling hills and dense woodland. Only 50 examples of Audi’s tribute car will be sold, which is mechanically identical to the R8 Performance, with a naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 engine good for 611bhp and a 0-62mph time of 3.1 seconds.
As well as the paintjob, the Green Hell is dripping in matt black trim, which includes the 20-inch wheels, which also feature red detailing. If you fancy one it will set you back a cool £212,000, but it’s sure to make your neighbours green with envy (sorry).
