“It’s one of the most extensive product upgrades in the history of Porsche,” — Michael Schätzle, Vice President Product Line Cayenne
The 2023 Porsche Cayenne receives a slight facelift that retains many staple features of the Cayenne nameplate, including a horizontal grille flanked by gaping air intakes. Additional aesthetic adjustments range from a new bonnet, wheel arch wings, and headlights purposed to accentuate the new model’s width. The flank of the car is punctuated by elements such as the ten-spoke wheels and concave body lines. The rear end’s appeal is heightened by the inclusion of a wraparound taillight array and a new rear apron.

The interior is where many of Porsche’s efforts to evolve the Cayenne’s design are most noticeable. The largest and most impactful innovation come in the form of the new Porsche Driver Experience infotainment architecture system. This addition is the result of a complete redesign of the SUV’s instrument panel and centre console. One of the most notable changes to the interior compared to the previous generation’s Cayenne is the addition of a large digital display which seemingly spans from one side of the Cayenne’s dashboard to the other.
The expansive digital display is composed of a 12,6-inch driver’s instrument cluster, a 12,3-inch central display and a 10,9-inch passenger display, all operating on the firm’s Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system. The centre console is home to a myriad of toggles dedicated to adjusting power delivery and driving components. Additionally, the automatic gear selector now rests on the dashboard next to the steering wheel to allow for a greater storage package in the centre console area.

The new Cayenne model is founded on an improved chassis and offers an evolution in the Cayenne models’ performance. To improve handling and comfort, the 2023 Porsche Cayenne is fitted with steel spring suspension components assisted by the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) system. Complementing the aforementioned suspension elements are new shock absorbers with 2-valve technology aiding in better performance across different driving situations.
