Summary

The Peugeot 5008 is a seven-seat SUV/crossover based on the smaller 3008 model. It arrived in the UK in 2017 and, like the 3008, replaced a people carrier model with the same name.

A lot of the praise that the award-winning Peugeot 3008 has received also applies to the larger 5008. Comfort and driving dynamics have both been identified as strengths, while Peugeot’s unique i-Cockpit concept very much splits opinion. The main criticisms relate to the 5008’s lack of off-roading ability for a car that looks like an SUV but isn’t really.

An updated 5008 arrived in the UK in early 2021. It’s a facelifted version of the 2017 model, rather than an all-new car. We will start to see reviews of this refreshed version filtering through over the summer.
