Peugeot 3008 (2017 – present) | Expert Rating [hide]
Summary
The Peugeot 3008 is a medium-sized SUV/crossover, which was launched onto the UK market in 2017 and replaced a people carrier model with the same name.
The 3008 has received unanimously positive reviews, with scores ranging from good to outstanding. It has been the highest-ranked medium-sized SUV/crossover in our Expert Ratings index for the last two years, although its current Expert Rating of 75% (as of December 2021) has now fallen behind the Skoda Karoq.
The Peugeot 3008 has won numerous awards both in the UK and overseas. It has been particularly praised for its design, comfort, practicality and driving dynamics. More recent reviews have not been quite as favourable as those when the model was new, as the Peugeot i-Cockpit design is not to everyone’s taste and some newer rivals are considered better performers.

An updated model arrived in the UK in early 2021, which is a facelift of the existing car rather than an all-new model.
There is a question mark over the 3008’s reliability, however. In a 2021, What Car? rated the Peugeot 3008 diesel 20th in its list of the most unreliable new cars on sale.

Model reviewed: 1.5-litre diesel automatic“It’s fair to say that the ‘anthrompometric’ seating position and i-cockpit of the 3008 take a bit of getting used to. You look over the small steering wheel, not through it. The seats initially feel a bit small and hard. But give it 500 miles and it makes almost every other car feel like they came out of the stone-age. It’s brilliant.”
