PARIS: The Peugeot 3008 has been named ‘Car of the Year’ for 2017.
The SUV claimed the accolade on the eve of the Geneva Motor Show on March 6, receiving 319 points and 21 individual wins from the jurors to come out on top from a shortlist of seven models.
Some of the car’s star features include a plug-in hybrid with a petrol engine, a cutting edge i-cockpit and a compact steering wheel.
In second position was the Alfa Romeo Giulia, which received 296 points, followed by the Mercedes E-class, which was awarded 196 points. The other four contenders were the Citroen C3, Nissan Micra, Toyota C-HR and Volvo S90/V90.
