Over the weekend, a video of a supercar convoy gathering and blocking the entire North-South Highway went viral. The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) is now investigating the case.
The incident is believed to have happened at around 6.30 pm on 18-March-2022 along Kilometre 34 southbound heading to Sedenak.
According to a statement released by Kulai district police chief Supt Tok Beng Yeow, initial investigations revealed that the incident started when a Ford Ranger pick-up truck tried to overtake the convoy dangerously.

During one of the left-lane overtaking manoeuvre, the (driven by a 28-year-old woman) drove into one of the convoy’s Lamborghini driven by a 45-year-old man.
As a result, the convoy that consisted of Lamborghinis and Nissan GTRs decided to trap the Ranger along the highway to prevent her from escaping responsibility.
The case is now investigated under Section 147 of the Penal Code for rioting, and Section 42 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
If convicted under the Penal Code, suspects will face a two-year jail sentence or a fine. Meanwhile, if found guilty under the Road Transport Act 1987, suspects will face a five-year jail sentence and a maximum fine of RM 15,000.
Regarding allegations that the woman was drunk, Tok states that PDRM is still investigating the matter.
