MG recently launched the new Comet EV in India with prices starting at Rs 7.98 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom). The EV is available in a choice of three variants: Pace, Play, and Plush. While its bookings will start on 15 May, the brand will begin deliveries from 22 May. It comes with five funky colour options: Aurora Silver, Candy White, Starry Black, along with Apple Green with Starry Black roof and Candy White with Starry Black roof. MG Comet EV: Range, Battery, and Charging
Powering the MG Comet is an IP67-rated 17.3kWh battery pack with an ARAI-certified range of 230km. An electric motor produces 42PS and 110Nm of torque. With a 3.3kW Type-2 AC charger, it takes a claimed seven hours to charge the Comet EV from zero to 100 per cent. Whereas, the 10 to 80 per cent comes in a claimed five hours.
