On the back of the Jaguar XF’s introduction, Jaguar Land Rover (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (JLRM) today launched the face-lifted Jaguar XJ full-size luxury sedan in Malaysia. A host of new features accompany aesthetic enhancements and new engine line-up that now enlists an entry-level 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder.
This is how the Jaguar XJ range now shapes up:
- 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol (240PS) – from RM645,000
- 3.0-litre V6 turbo-diesel (300PS) – from RM800,000
- 3.0-litre V6 supercharged petrol (340PS) – from RM830,000
The long-wheelbase Jaguar XJs alone have been earmarked for distribution in the Malaysia market space. All three variants are supplemented with an 8-Speed automatic transmission with jaguar sequential shift.
Distinction from the pre-facelift model can be lies in the reworked grille dimensions and full-LED adaptive headlights that feature a ‘Double J’ daytime running lights (DRL) graphics.
Inside, the Jaguar XJ now receives a 20-speaker, 825W Meridian Digital Surround Sound System. Upgrades to the infotainment suite lists an 8-inch touchscreen powered by a Intel Quad Core processor for the infotainment system, beaming data onto a 12.3-inch HD TFT instrument panel display.
Jaguar’s pioneering all-aluminium body construction also includes Pedestrian Contact Sensing System. The system automatically raises the XJ’s bonnet when it senses a collision with someone on foot, thus reducing the chances of contact with the rigid engine components that lie underneath.
Every new XJ comes with Jaguar Care, which comprises a five-year/150,000km warranty, five-year or 80,000km (2.0-litre engine) or 65,000km (3.0-litre engine) servicing and three-year Jaguar Roadside Assistance.
