Ford has announced that the next-generation Ranger bakkie will be unveiled on 24 November.
The launch event will be shown on Ford South Africa’s YouTube channel on the date.
“Ford has reimagined, redesigned, and reengineered the Ranger to be the smartest, most versatile, and most capable Ranger yet for customers in more than 180 markets around the world,” said Ford.
“Ford conducted more than 5,000 interviews and worked with hundreds of pickup owners in dozens of workshops across the globe to find out how owners used their trucks, what they liked, what they wished it had, and what experiences mattered the most to them.”
The company said as a result, their engineers have designed the the next-generation Ranger in a way that customers would appreciate.
This includes a new “Built Ford Tough” look, and a host of new features that “boost productivity, capability and versatility”.
The Ford Ranger’s Chief Designer Max Tran added that customers who buy this bakkie “like solving their own problems” and want to “feel confident in their truck”.
This was kept in mind during the design process.
