New Bentley Flying Spur S makes early appearance
Just last week, Bentley lifted the veil off its newest members in the Continental range in the form of the GT S and GTC S variants.
Bentley is again expanding its driver-focused S range with the introduction of the new Flying Spur S which further enhanced the Crewe-based pinnacle four-door sedan. This also marks the first time the ‘S’ emblem is applied to a hybrid product courtesy of the Beyond100 vision of the future and sustainable pathway forwards.
To begin with, the new Bentley Flying Spur S is offered with a choice of two engine choices; a hybridised 2.9-litre V6 unit and a 4.0-litre V8 engine. The former pumps out 400 kW and 750 Nm enough to send the sedan from 0-100 km/h in 4.1 seconds. On battery power alone, the V6 Flying Spur S can cover 41 km before running out of electric power.
The latter produces 405 kW and 770 Nm enough to accelerate the sedan from 0-100 km/h in 4.0 seconds en route to a 319 km/h top speed. It comes as standard with Bentley Dynamic Ride, capable of applying up to 1,300 Nm of anti-roll torque in 0.3 seconds to keep the body flat and stable under spirited cornering.
On the outside, the new Bentley Flying Spur S features gloss black lower bumper grilles, dark tinted headlamps and rear lights, black quad tailpipe finishers and distinctive S badging on the front fenders. The grille is black gloss with vertical vanes and black gloss surround while the winged Bentley badge and lettering on the bootlid are finished in bright chrome.
As standard, the S range rides on a set of all-new 22” wheels with five Y-shaped spokes in gloss black or new Pale Brodgar Satin finish. Buyers have the option to choose 21” tri-spoke wheel design that combines gloss black and bright machined finishes. Red brake callipers come standard.

As for the interior, buyers can choose between performance-focused two-tone colour splits. The heated steering wheel, gear lever, seat cushions and seat backrests are finished in a suede-like material. The S design seats are fluted, with quilting available as an option, and the ‘S’ emblem is embroidered on the headrest of each seat while embroidered Bentley wings are a no-cost alternative.
Finishing touches include a metal S signature badge on the fascia and illuminated Bentley treadplates with the ‘S’ device replacing the Bentley Motors Ltd plaque.
The new Bentley Flying Spur S is expected to debut at the upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed which runs from Thursday 23 June to Sunday 26 June.
