2021 has been a big year for Audi so far.
The brand has given us new versions of nearly all its flagship cars, and there are plans on finishing the updated RS line-up before 2021 comes to a close.
Petrol-powered monsters aren’t all that they have going for them, though.
In between all the high-performance deliveries, they managed to push out their first fully-electric coupe, alongside an existing range of electric SUVs.
The brand’s next electric SUV will be debuting on 14 April, and the company will implement electric drivetrain components for the 2022 Dakar season to test their performance under the most stringent conditions.
Audi is definitely hard at work at improving its products – but, as is often the case, this goes hand in hand with increased costs.
New systems, materials, engines, and laws are all considered when making a new car, and that leads to a new “entry-level” price.
Currently in South Africa, the most affordable way of getting yourself into a new Audi is paying R441,000 for the A1 Sportback 30TFSI.
This is the brand’s cheapest vehicle, and it is fitted with a 1.0-litre engine and cloth seats.
The most expensive cars
The most expensive cars from Audi, however, all get the esteemed quattro all-wheel-drive system, interiors covered in ultra-luxury materials, and price tags of R1 million and up.
They also span several segments, and can often be had in multiple body styles.
