It was made using an Audi A6 as a base car and has over 850 hp on tap.
The C8-generation Audi RS6 Avant has been described as one of the most potent wagons money can buy. Wagons aren't everyone's cup of tea, though, with more and more people opting for sedans in the US. So if you like the idea of an RS6 but without the wagon look, German tuner Ado X Performance has the solution: Meet the world's first C8-generation Audi RS6 sedan. Thanks to Auditography, we get to see the finished product in action.
As a side note, Audi has exclusively made the RS6 as a wagon since 2010, so it's fair to say that the Germans who built this rad ride took matters into their own hands.
Before talking about what it's capable of, there's the question of how the Germany-based builders were able to create a sedan version of the performance wagon. Well, the car in question is actually based on an Audi A6 sedan.
Specifically, the tuning house lifted selected exterior and interior parts from a donor Audi RS6 and made those bits fit on the base vehicle. Those are then combined with several custom-made pieces. The folks who birthed this incredible creation likewise transplanted the RS6's 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo mild hybrid engine into the A6.
Beyond that, Ado X Performance also gave the RS6 sedan project its in-house developed three-inch downpipes, as well as turbo inlets and housings which are larger than the stock units. It likewise improved the car's handling with a set of tuned KW V4 coilovers.

While you could dub this “Frankenstein's Audi,” the sedan perfectly encapsulates the feel and presence of its RS6 wagon sibling. No exterior or interior piece looks out of place, and thanks to its mods, it performs like a beast as well.
As tested by Auditography, the sedan conversion can produce up to 854 horsepower and 828 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to those beefy output figures, it can do zero to 62 mph in just 4.8 seconds. It also has a claimed top speed of 223 mph. Note that those figures were taken on the curvy roads of the picturesque Kunterayal glacier in the Austrian Alps. At the location, the car was able to show off the prowess of its roaring V8 as well as the ability to keep its 4,140-pound weight planted and stable.
What do you think? Was this homebrew RS6 Sedan executed well to the point that you'd want one of these for yourself? Or would you rather wait for Audi to release the production version of that RS7 test mule that we saw back in May?
