The popular compact crossover is already getting updated styling.
Hyundai has been caught testing a prototype of its popular crossover, the Tucson, hinting at possible design changes for an upcoming facelift. The prototype is still wearing heavy concealment, however.
The front fascia wears a thinner camouflage, though considerably less than the rest of the vehicle. We expect a prominent change on this end to keep the model fresh, especially the headlights and LED daytime running lights. The facelift seems substantial, but we don't expect Hyundai to go as far as the Mufasa off-roader concept.
We noticed that the grille appears slightly smaller than before, as seen in the increased space between the grille and the lower bumper intake where the license plate is attached.

Beyond the sizeable trailer being towed by the compact SUV, the rear of the test vehicle is heavily concealed. The body lines of the current model appear to be retained in the new model, while new exhaust tips are also visible.
While portions of the taillights are similar to the current model, we can expect slight alterations to accompany the refresh. The same story goes with the interior, seen covered in the prototype to hide the expected variation.
As we're looking at a facelifted model, the powertrain setup won't veer too far from what will be offered in the 2024 model year. A sporty N Line will arrive with a 1.6-liter turbocharged hybrid powertrain, replacing the 2.5-liter.

The current Tucson is still relatively new, with the latest version revealed in 2020 as a 2022 model-year vehicle. We don't expect astronomical changes, but they should be enough to keep the popular nameplate attractive in the tightly contested SUV market.
As per the recent 2024 update announcement by the automaker, this facelifted model should arrive as a 2025 model, which means it will likely be introduced in the latter half of next year. The Tucson will get more standard tech features next year and gain a new color option called Hampton Gray.
