Hero MotoCorp has released a few teasers of the Hero Xpulse 200 4V motorcycle, and looking at these teasers reveals that the company is gearing up to launch a heavily updated version of the motorcycle in the near future.
The first teaser image shows a round headlight lighting up, and this LED headlight looks a bit more sophisticated than the one in the outgoing model. The DRLs are not only repositioned, but they vaguely resemble the alphabet ‘H’.
On top of that, the low beam module of the upgraded headlight seems to be a more sophisticated twin projector unit, while the high beam module continues to be a reflector-type unit. Thanks to this update, we expect the new version to have better ability to illuminate the path ahead.
The second teaser image partially shows a digital instrument cluster, where it displays multiple ABS modes. These modes include “ROAD”, “OFF-ROAD”, and “RALLY” – Indicating that the upcoming version will have multi-mode dual-channel ABS.
That being said, we do not expect any mechanical changes on the Hero Xpulse 200 4V to keep the prices competitive. This means the model will continue to be powered by a 199.6cc, 4-valve, oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine with 18.83bhp of power and 17.35Nm of torque.
Furthermore, the Hero Xpulse 200 4V comes with decent hardware consisting of 37mm telescopic suspension at the front with 190mm of wheel travel and a mono-shock at the rear with 170mm of wheel travel.
Braking duties on the outgoing version of the Hero Xpulse 200 4V motorcycle is carried out by a 276mm petal disc at the front and a smaller 220mm petal disc at the rear.
Thoughts About The Hero Xpulse 200 4V Teaser
We expect the teased features to be part of an update rather than a new higher-spec variant as equipping a ‘higher-spec’ variant with a different headlight seems less feasible. Also, we expect the upgrades to attract more customers and improve the sales figures.
