Spy video gives us a unique perspective on the Ferrari SUV, this time without as much camouflage.
Ferrari revealed its first-ever SUV, the Purosangue, over a month ago. Up until now, the only images we’ve seen of the high-riding four-door have been from Ferrari itself. Thanks to this new spy video out of Italy, we can finally show you real-life footage of the car—albeit with a tiny bit of camouflage.
Before the Purosangue’s reveal, Ferrari used heavy camouflage to cover its prototypes for the SUV. Now, though, the company is running what look to be production-ready mules with a taped-up front bumper and a smattering of triangles along the body.
The video gives us a better idea of what the Purosangue will look like in real life, rather than in prettied-up press photos. Take note of just how high from the ground the body sits as it cruises past the cameraman, and how the rear end looks. The test cars appear in three different colors—red, black, and blue. Which do you like best?
Thanks to this video we’re also given another chance to listen to the Purosangue’s 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V-12. It makes 715 hp and 528 lb-ft of torque, allowing for a 0-62 mph sprint in 3.2 seconds and a top speed of over 193 mph. It also sounds wonderful.
