MG has tied up with Fortum Charge & Drive and will offer free-charging for its ZS EV customers for a limited period
MG ZS EV is one of the most popular EVs in the Indian market. The all-electric crossover offers a premium and a practical package when compared to its rivals. It boasts a feature-rich and comfortable cabin coupled with impressive performance and commendable range.
The British carmaker recently joined hands with Fortum Charge & Drive in India and is now offering free charging for its ZS EV customers. Here is how you can charge your ZS EV for free.
How to charge your ZS EV for free?
Charging the ZS EV at MG’s and Fortum’s Charge and Drive charging network is extremely easy and fast
For availing of this offer, the ZS EV customers will first have to register themselves on the Fortum Charge & Drive mobile app
Customers can download this app from Apple Store or Google Play Store. After downloading the app, the user can register by clicking on the Sign In button using the email id and password or Google/Facebook.
The owners of the MG ZS EV can use the mobile app to control various operations and to locate the nearest charger
After reconfirming the email and password, the user will then need to validate the email using the confirmation code. Next and the final step in registering is to enter the mobile number and then verify it using the OTP received on the mobile number. After completing all these steps, the user shall be logged in and the Fortum Charge & Drive app is all set to be used.
What Else Should You Know?
MG is offering free charging to the owners of the MG ZS EV in India for a limited period
Customers are eligible for free DC fast charging service but it is worth noting that the offer is valid only on chargers compatible with CCS charging standards.
MG Motors started this initiative in partnership with Fortum Charge & Drive and under this initiative, customers can charge their MG ZS EV for free across Fortum Charge & Drive network in the country till the 31st of March 2022.
The ZS EV uses similar CCS chargers. While charging, the mobile app will show INR 0.00 per kW as the charging tariff. Having said that, from 1st April onwards, customers will be automatically migrated to the public charging tariff.
